Summary

In this island Saint Julius of Aegina performed his miracle of sailing with his own mantle since it was a dangerous island and the boatmen refused to take him there. There he spent the rest of his life in abstinence and fasting. The last Orthodox remains of the island were destroyed during the 19th century to leave up space for a Latin monastery.
