A logo of the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Mother of God "Pantanassa". From: http://home.it.net.au/~jgrapsas/pages/mydonation.doc, 13/Mar/06.

This mosaic of the Pantanassa Monastery logo is situated on the gate of the current monastic complex. A part of a photo taken by Pistevo in July, 2005. The similarity between the initial logo of OrthodoxWiki and the centre circle of this logo is coincidental.

A literal translation of the Greek is:

  • Outermost circle, top: Holy Archdiocese (of) Australia
  • Second circle: Holy Monastery (of the) All-Holy (Lady) the Queen of All.
  • Bottom: 1976 (year established)
  • Centre (on cross): IC XC NIKA is Jesus Christ Conquers

However, official English names for each are:

  • Outermost circle, top: Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia
  • Second circle: Monastery of the Holy Mother of God "Pantanassa"
